The top of a skyscraper. The crown of a giant.

In a skyline like New York’s, the bulkhead can be an opportunity to celebrate the building itself. Located in lower Manhattan, the “crown” of a prominent building can become a piece of the magic of the skyline at night, a recognizable icon, an opulent masterpiece.

This design is one of bold subtlety. The challenge: to create a noticeable and elegant beacon that can be seen for miles while being comfortable to look at while standing only a few feet away on the building’s rooftop amenity terrace. The design must compliment the overall shape and style of the building while also elevating it and establishing its place in the New York skyline.

We can’t give away any more secrets but must credit the process of collaboration for our success in this design. A multi-disciplinary effort between Developer, Architect, Designer, Manufacturer, Engineer, Project Manager, and all the skilled laborers who fabricated and assembled multiple full-scale working mock-ups have brought us to where we are today.
