Nike S23NYC
A celebration of sneaker culture’s rich history and an envisioning of a new, rapidly evolving sneaker culture.
We aimed to create a space that was commercially sound but also inherently playful and sporty. Throughout the open office areas are high-efficiency LEDs that simulate the lighting reminiscent of Nike’s origins. The straight-line fixture shapes heighten the brand’s obsession with speed and performance.
Custom finished high CRI LED accent lights evenly illuminate the reclaimed gym floor at the HUB breakout space. LED integrated millwork detail softly illuminates the pantry display ware whilst accenting the subtle brand logo.
Linear custom high-efficiency LED light strips run along the perimeter open office zone mounted to a metal framing system that reflects Nike’s connection to track and field. Decorative pendants highlight the breakout seating throughout the track and field light system.
A recycled fluorescent tube pendant, suspended over a reclaimed communal work-table, pays homage to the brand’s consciousness of sustainable design. LED accent lights above provide general illumination throughout the finished space.
A custom neon pendant floats above the breakout lounge in the shape of a free throw line. A clever yet simple nod to the brand’s basketball heritage. A pair of iconic basketball sneakers hangs from a reclaimed decorative chandelier. A testament to the brand’s constant evolution and growth while remaining true to its roots.
Soft ambient light filters this maker’s lab while the shoestring like decorative pendant hands above the breakout seating.
